[ In that time of waiting, all sorts of thoughts ran through Reign's mind. How he would react upon seeing Rinne's statue. What if one day Loki were to disappear and re-emerge as a statue himself. What about himself? Would anyone search for him? With these thoughts in mind, the moment the vampire sees Loki walking up to him, he rushes forward to hug the man, arms around the Jotun's neck. ]

Sorry about this. Just... give me a moment. [ A moment to remind himself that Loki is still here. There's a deep heaving sigh before Reign pulls back, a self-conscious smile on his face, before one hand moves to grab onto Loki's, fingers entwined together. ] Thank you, again, for agreeing to help me.

[ With that, he leads Loki into the casino area, towards where the pachinko machines are. If memory serves him right, it shouldn't be too far. ]

[The subject of their conversation so far already has Loki concerned, but the way Reign hugs him only amps that up. Loki wraps his arms around Reign in return and pulls him in.]

Take all the time you need.

[Loki tries to hide the concern in his voice, but he’s sure he’s done a poor job of it.] Really, it is no problem. You may always ask me for help.

[As they make their way to the casino floor, Loki feels like his heart is in his chest. He can’t stop replaying his time in the punishment room with Hiyori. He still hasn’t even met Jun, but something about all of this is making him feel like he did that day.]

[ Reign takes in a deep breath, letting it out long and slow, as if the weight on his shoulder gradually eases up with Loki now with him. He's not certain how Loki will take it once he sees what Reign is going to show him, but he knows that at times such things are inevitable. ] Thank you.

[ A moment later, and the vampire pulls back, before he takes Loki's hand and leads them towards where he was told the statue is. Past the many resort guests, gamblers and staffs, tables and slot machines, and the Pachinko are soon in sight. ]

He really is here... [ Comes the murmured words as Reign lay eyes on the statue itself. Though entirely made of white marble, the figure is identifiably Rinne, for those who recognise the redhead. He swallows heavily and turns to Loki. ] This... is whom I need your help with.

[Their trip through the casino feels a bit like a blur to Loki. He doesn’t really pay attention to which way they’re going, just allows Reign to lead him to where he needs him to be. All the while his thoughts run wild as his anxiety grows. Reign seems quietly upset and Loki has never really seen him like this before. It merely adds to his worry.

When they finally reach their destination and Reign speaks, Loki blinks and looks up, as if he’s just woken from a dream. His mouth falls open in surprise as he sees the unmistakable form of Rinne. One shaky hand comes up to cover his mouth as he steps forward, his other hand reaches out to touch the face of the statue as if he cannot believe what he is seeing.]

But, but he was participating.

[Loki turns back to Reign, confusion clear on his face.] Did he complete Game 52? How is this possible?

[ Seeing Loki's reaction towards Rinne's statue tells Reign much about the other's relationship with the redhead. They must have been quite close, or at least close enough that Loki has such an expression on his face. Despite Loki's touch, the Rinne's statue remains the same. Unchanging, ever grinning, much like the man's normal self.

Loki's question gets a head shake from Reign. ] He has not mention it before to me, but from what I've heard through his friend, Rinne hasn't completed the game. He has been participating as well, so I don't understand why or how he come the way he is.

[ The vampire goes quiet for a bit. ] I'd wondered if this is punishment by the resort, or the House, especially if Rinne had broken a rule or something. It doesn't make any sense for turning him into a statue otherwise.

[There are others he’s closer with, but Loki did consider Rinne a friend. The man’s upbeat and chaotic nature was intoxicating and Loki had wanted nothing more than to get to know him better. They had been kindred spirits in some ways. He fondly remembers trying to teach Rinne to control his new found ability to shapeshift and has the sudden urge to cry.]

I don’t like this. I don’t like this one bit.

[Loki’s tone is part sad and part angry. There is still part of him that hopes this simply means that Rinne has found a way home, but that’s all it is, hope. He knows it’s much more likely that something much worse has happened.]

What could he have done to warrant this? He was no worse than the rest of us. He was playing their stupid game, doing as they wish and yet. And yet.

[Loki lets his anger take over for a moment. Something he has not allowed to happen for quite some time now. It makes no sense, if the resort needs them so badly to do this to an active player so something else must have happened and Loki honestly isn’t sure if he wants to know what it is.]

[ This is the second time Reign has seen Loki in sadness and anger, for an entirely different reason compared to the time when they talked about their past. The outburst, though mostly muffled by the surrounding sounds, does draw a few curious eyes from some of the patrons. But Reign ignores them as he reaches a hand out to Loki's, being careful so as not to startle the man.

He pulls Loki into a hug, his arms coming around the other's waist, fingers clutching at the back of his shirt. ] I don't know. I don't know what he could have done. [ Damn it, he doesn't want to cry. But Reign's voice does waver as he tries to hold his tears back. ] I hate this too, what they've done to us, forcing their stupid rules on us and making us play their game.

[ Reign ends up burying his face against Loki's chest, and if there's a bit of wetness, or the light trembling of his body, hopefully Loki wouldn't notice. ] It's all right. I'm still here. You're still here. [ He goes quiet after that, doing his best to hold his emotions at bay, to give Loki some semblance of comfort as well. ]

[Despite Reign’s attempt to not startle him, Loki does still jump slightly, but he quickly relaxes and takes Reign’s hand. Loki doesn’t care in the slightest about the others around them. Let them watch, and if they have a problem, Loki will happily put them in their place.

Loki has never been very good at holding back tears. He’s worn many masks in his life, tried to hide his true feelings from everyone, himself included, but when things get too much, he’s never been shy about crying. So, when Reign pulls him into a hug, he lets go. It’s not loud or necessarily obvious, but being so close, there should be no doubt to Reign that Loki is crying now.]

I’m so sorry this has happened. I know you must have been very close with him. [Loki’s voice is a whisper meant only for Reign as he holds him close, allowing Reign all the comfort he needs in return even has he takes comfort in return.] We are both still here, and I will do everything in my power to ensure neither of us, nor anyone else we care for, ends up like this.

[Probably something he shouldn’t promise, but Loki doesn’t want to think about what it would be like to see more of his friends like this.]
